Motte (upper body) was hurt Thursday versus the Penguins, and head coach Gerard Gallant didn't have an update on the winger's status, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Motte received a high hit from Anthony Angello in the third period. After the hit, Motte was able to skate away under his own power to the locker room, but he didn't return to the contest. More information on his status could be available prior to Saturday's game versus the Senators. If he misses time, Ryan Reaves or Greg McKegg seem like the likeliest players to join the lineup in a bottom-six role.
