The Rangers placed Harpur on waivers Friday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Harpur scored a goal and six points in 42 games with the Rangers in 2022-23. Unless he's selected off waivers, Harpur is likely to begin the campaign with AHL Hartford.
