The Predators promoted Trenin from AHL Milwaukee on Friday.
Mikael Granlund is dealing with a lower-body injury, so Trenin could be inserted into the lineup immediately Saturday against New Jersey. The 22-year-old forward has been highly productive in the minors this season, racking up 14 goals and 26 points in 19 games.
