Rifai was put on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Rifai supplied two goals and 19 points in 57 contests for AHL Toronto during the 2023-24 regular season. He could see playing time with the Maple Leafs in 2024-25, assuming he doesn't get claimed by another team.
