Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Could be ahead of schedule

Eyssimont (lower body) is wearing a regular jersey at practice Friday, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.

Eyssimont has been dealing with the injury since the start of training camp, and it was assumed that he would not be ready for Opening Night on Oct. 11 versus Carolina. With the start of the season still a week away, Eyssimont looks to be on track to start the season in the lineup, barring any setbacks. Eyssimont is expected to play on the third line, alongside Nick Paul and Conor Sheary, as well as seeing second power-play action.
