Gourde logged an assist in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Wild.
Gourde helped out on linemate Tye Kartye's third-period tally. After beginning his Seattle career in a middle-six role for three years, Gourde has been bumped down to the fourth line, forming a checking trio with Kartye and Brandon Tanev. Gourde has a helper, one shot on goal, one hit, one blocked shot and seven PIM through two contests this season. He was limited to 33 points in 80 games in 2023-24, and he may struggle to reach that mark without a larger role this year.
