Kraken's Kim Saarinen: Pens entry-level pact

Saarinen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Seattle on Sunday.

Saarinen posted a 1-0-1 record with a 2.46 GAA and a .909 save percentage in two regular-season outings with HPK of Finland's Liiga in 2023-24. He spent most of the campaign playing for HPK's junior teams. The Kraken chose the 17-year-old netminder with the No. 88 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Saarinen is expected to return to Finland for the 2024-25 campaign.
