Olofsson was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.
Olofsson has two goals and 11 points in 27 AHL appearances this season. The 30-year-old has 11 assists in 63 career NHL regular-season outings. He will be an option for Saturday's game against Vegas but could be a healthy scratch as a spare defender.
