Sparks stopped 11 of 12 shots after replacing Jonathan Quick in the second period of Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
Sparks played the final 37:13 after the team fell in a 5-1 hole with Quick in net. The only puck to elude Sparks came off the stick of Jonathan Marchessault after a giveaway right in front of the Kings' net. Sparks should remain with the big club as long as Cal Petersen's in the COVID-19 protocol, and he could see some starting opportunities if Quick's struggles from this game carry over moving forward.
