Kahkonen will patrol the home crease in Saturday's preseason contest versus Minnesota.

Kahkonen earned a mark of 7-24-3 with a 3.64 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 37 regular-season outings between San Jose and New Jersey in 2023-24. He is competing with Eric Comrie for the backup role behind Connor Hellebuyck during training camp.
