Robinson scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Saturday's preseason victory over Nashville.

After helping to set up Josiah Slavin for Carolina's first tally early in the second period, Robinson broke open a 3-3 tie with a pair of tallies inside the final three minutes of the third. The 29-year-old winger is expected to fill a bottom-six role in his first campaign with the Hurricanes, and he's unlikely to make a big offensive impact -- he managed three goals and 10 points over 47 NHL games last season split between the Blue Jackets and Sabres.
