Carolina acquired Burke from Colorado on Tuesday in exchange for Caleb Jones.
Burke registered 16 goals and 39 points in 70 games with AHL Colorado last season. He will remain with the Eagles for the start of the 2023-24 campaign because the Hurricanes don't have an AHL affiliate.
