Flyers coach John Tortorella remains optimistic that Atkinson (upper body) will be ready for Opening Night, Charlie O'Connor of The Athletic reports.
Atkinson didn't practice again Monday, but it is expected that he will be on the ice with the Flyers on Wednesday. He still could be available for Thursday's regular-season opener versus New Jersey.
