Welinski agreed to a professional tryout agreement with New Jersey on Monday.
Weliniski contributed three goals and 10 points in 35 AHL regular-season outings between Iowa and Charlotte in 2023-24. The 31-year-old blueliner has one goal and five helpers in 46 career NHL appearances. He likely won't crack New Jersey's roster out of training camp but could earn a two-way deal if he impresses during the preseason.
