Silovs stopped 24 of 27 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning, with Tampa Bay's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
He got beaten once in each period, while the Canucks didn't get on the board until the third. Silovs was expected to be the No. 1 in net for Vancouver while Thatcher Demko (knee) was on IR, but so far the 23-year-old has alternated starts with Kevin Lankinen instead. Silovs' 4.50 GAA through his first two outings of the season hasn't made a strong case for more work.
