Bains was loaned to AHL Abbotsford on Monday.
Bains produced 16 goals and 55 points in 59 contests for Vancouver's top minor-league affiliate during the 2023-24 regular season. He will probably see NHL action at some point this campaign but could spend most of 2024-25 in the minors.
