Brown was put on waivers Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Brown had one assist, seven shots on net and 25 hits in 11 regular-season contests with Boston in 2023-24. He added 11 goals and 32 points in 42 games for AHL Providence during the 2023-24 regular season. Brown could see additional time in the NHL this campaign, but most of his playing time will probably be in the minors.
