Poitras (undisclosed) may not be ready for the start of the season, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports Friday.
Poitras has played in three of Boston's six preseason games, scoring once. He missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a shoulder injury, but there is no word as to whether or not it is the same injury. Poitras made his NHL debut as a 19-year-old last season, registering five goals and 10 assists in 33 regular-season appearances. He is slated to center the third line once he is healthy.
