Brossoit (knee surgery) will be out of action for another three-four weeks, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports Friday.
General manager Kyle Davidson said that Brossoit will miss four more weeks, maybe a little less. The netminder inked a two-year contract with Chicago in the offseason, after spending last season as the backup in Winnipeg to Connor Hellebuyck. Brossoit was a solid 15-5-2 with a 2.00 GAA and a .927 save percentage. He will battle Petr Mrazek for the No. 1 job with the Blackhawks, once Brossoit is healthy.
