  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Remains limited Thursday

Robinson (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday. After tending to a knee injury for most of October that resulted in one DNP and another abbreviated outing, Robinson now is dealing with a new health concern that so far has capped his reps this week. He thus will have one more chance to get back to full participation or else potentially risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's road game against the Giants. In the six contests in which he's earned at least a 40 percent snap share, Robinson has averaged 17.2 touches for 87 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring four rushing TDs.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson Jr.: RBs to Start

Robinson faced the Giants in Week 2 and had 17 carries for a career-high 133 yards and one catch for 3 yards on three targets. He loves facing the Giants and has either 100 total yards or a touchdown in five career meetings with New York, and I like him as a No. 2 running back in all leagues in Week 9. A running back has scored at least 13.1 PPR points in all but one game against the Giants this season, including five in a row. Robinson should continue that streak in the rematch in Week 9.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed with hamstring injury

Robinson was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. Robinson dealt with a knee injury the past month, missing one full game and half of another. That injury has apparently cleared up, but now he's listed with a hamstring issue, albeit one that probably isn't serious given his practice participation at the start of the week. Any limitations this Sunday against the Giants would lead to more work for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Produces early in blowout win

Robinson rushed the ball 12 times for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-7 win over the Panthers. He was not targeted. Robinson returned after a one-game absence and delivered early with eight carries for 53 yards and a touchdown before halftime. He found the end zone on an eight-yard scamper early in the second quarter and was efficient overall. The final stat line will suggest that Jeremy McNichols worked in an even split with Robinson, but the latter only saw three carries in the final two quarters due to the blowout nature of the contest. Robinson should shoulder a more significant workload in an NFC showdown against the Bears in Week 8.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Ready to roll in Week 7

Robinson (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Panthers. Robinson missed the Week 6 loss to the Ravens with his knee injury, but after managing a limited practice in each day of Week 7 prep, he's back on the field as expected. As such, Robinson should be back in his customary lead-back role for what has been one of the most inviting matchups for running backs thus far this season, as the Panthers are surrendering 153.5 rushing yards per game.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: On track to play Sunday

Robinson (knee) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Panthers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After not practicing at all last week and missing last Sunday's loss to the Ravens, Robinson got in a round of limited practices this week and seems to be trending in this direction. Robinson should step right back into his role atop the Commanders backfield, handling the bulk of the early-down work while Austin Ekeler mixes in and sees the majority of the passing-down snaps.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Questionable after limited practice

Robinson (knee) remained limited at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. Robinson was a limited participant Wednesday through Friday, after sitting out all of last week and missing a 30-23 loss at Baltimore. He'll now try to play through his knee injury for a second time in three weeks, and while the matchup against a one-win, injury-riddled Panthers team is undoubtedly excellent, there is some added injury risk if Robinson ends up playing, as was seen Week 5 when he scored two first-half TDs against the Browns but then didn't play in the second half and finished with just 18 total yards. Even with that risk, most fantasy managers will want Robinson in their lineups if he's listed as active ahead of the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Trending in right direction

Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Robinson (knee) is "trending in the right direction" for Sunday's game against Carolina, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. Robinson is on track for a questionable designation, with Quinn saying no decision has been made on the running back's status for Sunday. Robinson returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant and remained limited for Thursday's session. He missed the Week 6 loss at Baltimore, after playing through his knee injury in a Week 5 win over Cleveland.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Another limited session

Robinson (knee) was limited at Thursday's practice. Robinson now has back-to-back capped sessions under his belt this week, giving him one more chance to get back to full participation Friday before the Commanders potentially tag him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers. During Robinson's absence this past Sunday versus the Browns, Austin Ekeler handled most of the backfield reps on his way to 13 touches for 68 yards from scrimmage.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson Jr.: RBs to Start

Robinson is expected to play in Week 7 against the Panthers after sitting out Week 6 against Baltimore with a knee injury. Carolina has allowed six running backs in the past three games to score at least 14.5 PPR points, and eight running backs have reached that total this season. It makes Austin Ekeler a flex option as well even if Robinson is active, and Robinson has scored at least 13.8 PPR points in four of five games this year. I like Robinson as a borderline No. 1 running back in all leagues in Week 7.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Returning to practice Wednesday

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that Robinson (knee) will take part in practice Wednesday, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports. Robinson failed to practice last Wednesday through Friday prior to being ruled out for Washington's loss to the Ravens in Week 6, so practicing in even a limited capacity to kick off Week 7 prep represents a notable step in the right direction. The third-year pro will work to gain clearance in time for Sunday's matchup against the Panthers and rejoin Austin Ekeler atop the Commanders' backfield depth chart.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Downgraded to out

Robinson (knee) was downgraded from questionable to out for Sunday's game Ravens. Robinson failed to practice all week, so the Commanders' decision to downgrade him isn't a major surprise. With Robinson out of the mix, Austin Ekeler will take over as the team's No. 1 back and should see plenty of work as both a pass catcher and runner. Jeremy McNichols should serve as Ekeler's primary backup, while Chris Rodriguez was elevated from the practice squad to provide a third option out of the backfield.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Listed as questionable

Robinson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Robinson didn't practice at all this week, with coach Dan Quinn saying Friday that the running back will be a game-time decision. Robinson played through the same injury last week, but that was after returning to practice Friday, and he ended up missing the second half after scoring a pair of TDs before halftime in an eventual 34-13 win over Cleveland. His odds of playing appear lower this week, which would mean expanded workloads for Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols if Robinson is deemed inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Headed for game-time decision

Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Robinson will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. The Commanders are giving Robinson a shot to play even though he didn't practice this week. He played through the same injury last week and scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, but he then aggravated his knee and was held out after halftime, leaving Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols in charge of Washington's backfield in a 34-13 win over Cleveland. It'll likely be Ekeler getting the start and McNichols handling a significant role off the bench if Robinson is declared inactive before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday in Baltimore.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Not seen at practice

Robinson (knee) doesn't appear to be practicing Friday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. A third straight missed practice suggests he's unlikely to play Sunday at Baltimore. Robinson played through the same injury last week and scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, but he seemed to aggravate his knee along the way and was held out after halftime, leaving Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols in charge of Washington's backfield in a 34-13 win over Cleveland.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Doesn't practice Thursday

Robinson (knee) didn't practice Thursday. With back-to-back absences to begin Week 6 prep due to a lingering knee issue, Robinson has just one more chance to mix into drills before week's end. Having said that, he followed a similar practice regimen last week before returning as limited Friday, getting tagged as questionable and eventually being active this past Sunday against the Browns. Ultimately, Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Robinson has a designation ahead of Sunday's contest at Baltimore. Meanwhile, fellow running back Austin Ekeler (heel) practiced in full Thursday, leaving him and Jeremy McNichols as the Commanders' current healthy options in the backfield.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Sits out Wednesday's practice

Robinson (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. Robinson appears to be following a similar practice regimen this week as he did last week, when he managed just one limited session Friday. He was listed as questionable and was ultimately active for this past Sunday's win over the Browns, but he earned a season-low 34 percent snap share while working in tandem with Austin Ekeler (49 percent) and Jeremy McNichols (22 percent) out of the Commanders backfield. Robinson took advantage of his seven carries on his way to 18 yards and two touchdowns, while Ekeler (eight touches for 97 yards from scrimmage) and McNichols (seven carries for 44 yards and one touchdown) also produced useful stat lines for fantasy purposes. Robinson may need to get back to full participation by week's end in order to regain a majority share of Washington's backfield reps for Sunday's game at Baltimore.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Finds end zone twice in win

Robinson carried the ball seven times for 18 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Browns. While both Austin Ekeler and quarterback Jayden Daniels had more rushing yards than Robinson, the latter was the Commanders' preferred option at the goal line, and he punched in a four-yard TD in the first quarter and a one-yard score in the second. Robinson might have had a third short touchdown in a closer game, but with Washington already ahead 24-6 in the third quarter, Jeremy McNichols got the call for a three-yard TD plunge instead. Robinson has five rushing touchdowns in five games to begin the season, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 6 clash with the Ravens.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Active in Week 5

Robinson (knee) is listed as active Sunday against the Browns. Robinson tended to a knee injury during Week 5 prep, capping him to one limited practice (Friday) and a questionable listing for Sunday's contest. The issue won't stop him from being available to the Commanders backfield, but with Austin Ekeler (concussion) back after one game missed and Jeremy McNichols faring well Week 4 (eight carries for 68 yards and two TDs), Robinson may have a scaled-back role. Still, Robinson hasn't lacked for work (18.5 touches per game) in the first four outings of the season, so there's a chance he'll retain such a gig.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Should be available Sunday

Robinson (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns, is "good to go," Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. The Commanders haven't officially changed Robinson's injury designation, but the third-year back should be cleared to play upon the release of Washington's inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. The third-year back missed practices Wednesday and Thursday before participating in limited fashion Friday. Washington will also have top backup Austin Ekeler at its disposal after the veteran missed the Week 4 win over the Cardinals due to a concussion.
