Crumedy (ankle) was activated from the Panthers' injured reserve list Wednesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
The rookie from Mississippi State missed the Panthers' first nine games this season after sustaining an ankle injury in early August, but he's now in line to make his NFL debut Sunday. Expect Crumedy to serve as one of Carolina's top rotational interior defensive lineman when the Panthers face the Giants in Germany in Week 10.

Panthers' Jaden Crumedy: Questionable for Sunday
Rotowire
Crumedy (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.
Crumedy practiced in full all week and appears to nearly be past his ankle injury, but he still must be activated to Carolina's active roster in order to suit up Sunday. Panthers' Jaden Crumedy: Designated for return to practice
Rotowire
The Panthers announced Wednesday that Crumedy (ankle) has been designated to return to practice from IR, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Crumedy's 21-day practice window now opens, and Carolina can activate him to the 53-man roster at any point in that span. The extent of Crumedy's activity in practice will serve as an indication of his chances of being available for Sunday's road matchup against the Commanders. Once fully healthy, the rookie sixth-round pick will hope to bolster a Panthers defensive line that's working to compensate for the loss of Derrick Brown (knee).

Panthers' Jaden Crumedy: Verge of return
Rotowire
Crumedy (ankle) is expected to be designated to return from injured reserve this week, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Crumedy was placed on IR before the season started and has missed the mandatory four games. His designation to return will allow him to return to practice with the team, but that doesn't guarantee he'll return to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Bears. More clarity on his potential return will likely have to wait until later in the week.

Panthers' Jaden Crumedy: Selected by Carolina in Round 6
Rotowire
The Panthers selected Crumedy in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 200th overall.
Crumedy might be a lowly sixth-round pick, but the Mississippi State product still looks like a good selection for Carolina. Crumedy was a five-year starter as a six-year player in college, and at 6-foot-4, 301 pounds he demonstrated burst and speed that should fit well on passing downs if nothing else (4.97-second 40-yard dash). Worse prospects have turned out to be viable starting defensive tackles in the NFL.
