The Colts signed Bean to their practice squad Wednesday. Bean will stick around with Indianapolis after being waived Tuesday as part of its final roster cutdown. • Jason Bean: Waived by Indy

The Colts waived Bean on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. Bean signed with the Colts in May as an undrafted free agent. The Kansas product competed against Sam Ehlinger in training camp for the No. 3 quarterback job behind Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco. Across three preseason games, Bean completed 15 of 19 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception while adding 53 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. He injured his shoulder on his one-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Colts' preseason finale against the Bengals on Thursday. If he clears waivers, Bean could be invited back by Indianapolis to be on the practice squad, or he could look to take his talents elsewhere.
