Turner (chest) was released by the Chargers on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Turner was a key asset for the Chargers' offensive line, filling the role of starting right guard. His absence will be noticeable, but Turner will aim to play elsewhere in the upcoming year. The release of the five-time Pro Bowler saves the team more than $11 million against the cap.
