Johnson (ankle) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Limited practices have been status quo for Johnson of late, but Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com relays that coach Bill O'Brien noted earlier Wednesday that the running back -- who has missed two straight games -- is "trending in the right direction" for Sunday's game against the Vikings. If Johnson's condition takes a turn for the worse and he ends up missing a third straight contest, starter David Johnson would likely be in store for another massive snap count. David has played 95 and 96 percent of the offensive snaps in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively.
