Panthers' Chandler Wooten: Placed on IR

The Panthers placed Wooten (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Wooten will need to miss a minimum of four games due to an ankle injury suffered Week 9, making his earliest possible return date Week 14 versus the Saints. In a corresponding move, Carolina promoted tight end Jordan Matthews from the practice squad.
