Ray (undisclosed) was placed on the Patriots' practice squad injured reserve list Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Ray has yet to make his NFL debut, and it appears he'll have to wait a bit longer. By moving the rookie to the practice squad injured reserve list, it will open up another spot on the team's 16-man practice squad.
