Football Team's David Mayo: Signs one-year extension

Washington signed Mayo to a one-year contract extension Friday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Mayo finished the 2021 campaign -- his first with Washington -- with 28 tackles (20 solo) and one fumble recovery across 16 appearances. The seventh-year pro will likely fill a similar reserve role again next season.
