With Fantasy football injuries mounting, the likelihood that you're going to run into difficult Fantasy football start-sit decisions as you construct your Week 4 Fantasy football lineups is high. Trey McBride is in concussion protocol, Justin Herbert aggravated his high ankle sprain this week and other stars like Isiah Pacheco (leg) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) will miss Week 4. So how do you plug those holes and still put together a competitive lineup now that we're settling into the weekly grind of the season? With a reliable set of live-updated Week 4 Fantasy football rankings, you can get a handle on the matchups and nail any tough lineup decisions. Before you lock in your Fantasy football lineups, be sure to check out the Week 4 Fantasy football rankings from the advanced computer model at SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine's model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons, especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home emptyhanded.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, including being ahead of the curve on players like A.J. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

Now, the model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has revealed its Fantasy football rankings for Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season. Head to SportsLine now to see them.

Top Week 4 Fantasy football picks

One surprise in Week 4: The model is fading Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams, who was started in 81% of CBS Sports PPR leagues last week after breaking out over the first two weeks of the season. Williams had 10 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown over the first two weeks and also rushed for 28 yards but he had a bust week against the Cardinals in Week 3.

Williams played a season-low 71% of snaps and he was only targeted three times, catching one pass for nine yards. He also had one carry where he lost seven yards and finished with two scrimmage yards on two touches. Now he'll match up with a Seahawks defense that has only allowed 397 passing yards over the first three weeks (best in the league) and the model ranks him outside its top 40 wide receivers for Week 4.

Another curveball: The model is high on Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. The No. 23 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is off to a strong start in his rookie season, catching 11 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown over the first three weeks. He was targeted four times in each of his first two games but saw his target total rise to nine last week in a loss to the Bills.

Thomas enters Week 4 ranked 11th among NFL wide receivers in average distance of target (15.0) and his prototypical size has already come in handy down in the red zone. His 3.26 Fantasy points per target ranks sixth among receivers and Trevor Lawrence has a 156.3 QB rating when targeting the rookie. The model ranks him as a top-10 Fantasy football wide receiver heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Texans. For more start/sit Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the rest of the Week 4 Fantasy football rankings.

How to set Week 4 Fantasy football rankings

The model is also calling for a surprising quarterback owned in less than half of CBS Sports PPR leagues to finish in the top 10 of its Week 4 Fantasy football rankings. This pick could be the difference between winning big and going home with nothing. See the model's entire Week 4 Fantasy football rankings for PPR and standard leagues here.
