Trufant (shoulder) is scheduled for surgery Thursday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Trufant is set to miss the remainder of the season, a major knock for a Falcons secondary sitting last in the league with 282.2 passing yards allowed per game. Jalen Collins will consequently step into a starting role.
