Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Parsons has "got some work to do" before the edge rusher returns from his high-ankle sprain, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Parsons missed the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Steelers after sustaining a high-ankle sprain Week 4, and McCarthy's comments suggest that the 25-year-old isn't a lock to make it back for a Week 6 matchup with the Lions on Sunday. McCarthy noted that the Cowboys will know more about Parsons' potential availability for Week 6 by Wednesday, when the team resumes practicing.
