Colts' Jack Doyle: Steps up in Week 2 loss

Doyle brought in five of eight targets for 64 yards in the Colts' 27-24 loss to the Rams on Sunday. He also caught a two-point conversion.

With Parris Campbell (abdomen) out of action, Doyle stepped up to draw even with Zach Pascal for second on the team in receptions. The veteran tight end also checked in second in targets, displaying some strong chemistry with Carson Wentz (ankle) before the latter was forced from the contest. Doyle's production was a notable improvement from his 3-21-0 receiving line Week 1, and he could be called upon quite frequently as a security blanket in a Week 3 road battle against the Titans if second-year quarterback Jacob Eason is forced to fill in for Wentz.
