Jones (illness) was reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday and is back on the Chiefs' 53-man roster, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Jones' return to the roster was expected after he was spotted earlier Thursday taking part in the portion of the Chiefs' practice that was open to the media, according to Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star. Assuming the star defensive lineman is feeling fine from a conditioning standpoint following a pair of practices Thursday and Friday, he should be ready to handle a normal workload in Sunday's game against the Steelers. Prior to sitting out the Week 15 win over the Chargers, Jones had recorded 12 tackles, five sacks, five pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble over his last six appearances.
