McCollum (hamstring) will not play in the Buccaneers' season-opening matchup against the Cowboys, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

McCollum has been nursing a hamstring injury since mid-August. There is no surprise with his absence, as he was a non-participant at practice all week. He is expected to contribute on special teams and provide depth in the secondary when healthy.
