The 49ers signed Proehl to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Proehl will resume his career in San Fransisco after spending the 2019 season with the Rams. The receiver is yet to play in his first NFL game after recording 91 receptions for 1,265 yards and five touchdowns in 38 games at North Carolina.
