Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Scores 17 in preseason win

McDaniels finished with 17 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists and a block across 24 minutes in Friday's 121-111 preseason win over the 76ers.

McDaniels played a team-high 24 minutes in this preseason contest, the same as Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards, and he was one of three starters who surpassed the 15-point plateau, with Edwards and Naz Reid being the others. McDaniels is set to open the season as the Timberwolves starting small forward after a 2023-24 playoff run in which he averaged 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game across 16 postseason contests.
