The Rockets recalled Whitmore from the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports.
Whitmore will be back with the Rockets for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, but he's not a lock to be included in head coach Ime Udoka's rotation.
