The Pacers exercised the fourth-year option in Mathurin's contract Friday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Mathurin will now officially be under contract with the Pacers until the end of the 2025-26 campaign. The Arizona product took a step back from his rookie campaign last year, during which he averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 26.1 minutes per game in 59 regular-season outings before having his season cut short due to shoulder surgery. Mathurin is expected to play a significant role off the bench in Year 3, and he will likely back up Aaron Nesmith and compete for minutes with Jarace Walker and Ben Sheppard.
