Mavericks' Klay Thompson: Will play first half Thursday

Thompson will play around 15-to-18 minutes during the first half of Thursday's preseason contest against the Jazz, coach Jason Kidd told Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com.

Thompson didn't play in the preseason opener against the Grizzlies on Monday but will make his Mavericks debut Thursday. He'll play alongside Kyrie Irving, who has been cleared to play as well, but Luka Doncic (calf) has been ruled out.
