Mavericks' Caleb Martin: Assigned to G League

Dallas assigned Martin (hip) to the G League's Texas Legends on Tuesday.

Martin has yet to debut for the Mavericks since being acquired via trade, but this is a step in the right direction for the veteran, who hasn't played since Jan. 10 due to a right hip strain. With Kyrie Irving (knee) ruled out for the season, Martin could potentially step into a large role for Dallas once he gets the green light.
