Kings' Kevin Huerter: Inactive for preseason opener

Huerter (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Warriors.

Huerter has been increasingly more involved at practice, but he's yet to be cleared for 5-on-5 activities and will be unavailable for the Kings' preseason opener. Huerter is recovering from a procedure in April that repaired his torn left labrum. While the 26-year-old seems close to gaining 5-on-5 clearance, it's unknown when he'll be ready to play in games. Sacramento's next exhibition comes Friday at Golden State.
