Burks has been ruled out for Sunday's preseason matchup against the Pelicans for rest purposes, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
With Tyler Herro out due to a groin strain, Burks started at shooting guard in the Heat's preseason opener. However, Herro is back and Burks will now get a night off. The veteran's next opportunity to play during the preseason will come Tuesday against the Spurs.
