Smith has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2021-22 season due to a knee injury.
Smith was in the midst of a solid campaign for the Skyforce, compiling 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists over 29.6 minutes per game while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, he will have to wait for 2022-23 for his earliest chance to retake the floor, while the Skyforce acquired Chandler Hutchison in a corresponding roster move.
