Splitter (calf) was assigned to the D-League's Delaware 87ers on Tuesday.
Splitter hasn't played in an NBA game in more than a calendar year as he continues to battle what's been a very problematic right calf injury. The big man is expected to begin participating in full practices with Delaware this week, and could soon progress to participating in D-League game action. The 76ers haven't stated when they expect Splitter to be 100 percent healthy, but it looks as though the team is hoping he'll be able to return to NBA action before the end of the regular season. The 32-year-old, who came over at the deadline in the Ersan Ilyasova deal, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
