Embiid entered the NBA's health and safety protocols Monday and is expected to miss several games, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The 76ers were already planning to rest Embiid for Monday's game against the Knicks, but he now looks like he'll be set for a longer absence after becoming the latest big-name player to enter the NBA's COVID-19 protocol. It's unclear just how many contests Embiid could end up missing, but Charania notes that he'll likely be held out for at least 10 days, unless he's able to return two negative COVID-19 tests within a 24-hour period. Given the amount of uncertainty here, Embiid should be pulled from lineups in most weekly fantasy leagues. Expect Andre Drummond to fill in at center and see big minutes for as long as Embiid remains sidelined.
