Ober (10-5) earned the win Sunday, allowing one hit and two walks over eight scoreless innings against the Tigers. He struck out 11.

Ober was at his best Sunday, allowing merely two walks and a leadoff single to Matt Vierling in the fourth while blanking the Tigers through eight. It was the seventh consecutive quality start for Ober, who was able to complete eight innings for the second time this season. The 6-foot-9 righty lowered his season ERA to 3.76 with the outing and has performed at a Cy Young-caliber level during this most recent seven-game stretch, going 5-1 while holding a 1.86 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 56 strikeouts over 48.1 innings. Ober is slated to make his next start against the White Sox, ironically the only team to place a blemish against his record during his current hot streak.
