Holland signed a minor-league deal with the Tigers on Saturday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The veteran left-hander spent 2020 with the Pirates and struggled as both a reliever and a starter with an overall 6.86 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. Holland figures to need a strong spring training to have a chance of making Detroit's Opening Day roster.
