Tayler Scott: Hits open market

Scott refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and elected free agency Friday.

Scott was claimed off waivers by the Phillies in September but lost his spot on the 40-man roster last week. The 30-year-old appeared in eight big-league games last season and allowed nine earned runs with a 13:6 K:BB across 12 innings.
