Isbel isn't in the Royals' lineup for Friday's game versus Colorado.
With southpaw Kyle Freeland set to toe the slab for the Rockies, the left-handed bat of Isbel will step out of the lineup. Garrett Hampson will take over in center field while batting eighth.
