Bouchard was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Bouchard will yield his spot on the active roster to Kris Bryant (oblique), who was activated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. Bouchard went hitless in six at-bats with four strikeouts during his nine-day MLB stint.
