Carlson isn't in the Rays' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Carlson has slashed .267/.353/.489 with three homers and nine RBI across 51 plate appearances since joining the Rays, but he'll step out of the lineup for a second consecutive game Wednesday. While he sits, Josh Lowe, Jose Siri and Jonny DeLuca will serve as the Rays' starting trio in the outfield.
